Stop at Pilot Butte and take the man-made staircase to its peak for a stunning desert panorama. Further ideas await the adventurous artist. Put pencils and paper in your pack and explore the area’s many mountain biking trails, including the newly added Cherokee Trail/ Currant Creek Ranch Loop.

The Rock Springs Community Fine Arts Center displays the works of recognized painters including Norman Rockwell and Grandma Moses while the White Mountain Petroglyphs incite questions of unknown artists.
