Austinites Now Have Their Own Store Opening August 21st

Innovative store to offer locally produced goods Unique products ‘made for weirdos, by weirdos’

(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 18, 2010 )
Austin, Texas – If you are looking for an ideal place to find original Austin gifts and products made for weirdos, by weirdos, look no further than to Austinites. Austinites is a new and innovative local business that offers the best local products for customers who appreciate the unique character and soul of Austin and its residents. The store, located at 13343 US Highway 183 North in the Anderson Arbor Center between Kerbey Lane and Main Event, features a wide variety of quality products from designer soaps, knick knacks, jewelry and stylish decorations to consumer electronics, local art, music and specialty foods.

Owner David Morales said “We are quite excited about opening the store and privileged to share our selection of local offerings. The unique mixture of merchandise is unmatched because we have diligently searched for the hidden talents and treasures of Austin, and are conveniently offering them for sale under one roof.” Despite the economic downturn of recent years, Morales is enthusiastic about the store because “this project has been about more than turning a profit, we love Austin and wanted to share the best of what we have discovered here with as many people as we could. This is a place that lets you take your favorite parts of Austin home with you.”

The hand picked selection provides distinctive gifts preferred by those searching for something special and local such as home-style jams, pickled peppers, Bloody Mary mix, pasta, BBQ sauce or olive oil pressed here in Austin, Texas. The store opens August 21, 2010 at 10 am and everyone is invited to the grand opening festivities featuring a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 pm. Look for the MyAustinites banner under which lemonade and cookies will be served by David’s daughter while vendors and artists offer demonstrations and delectable samples of their products and creations inside. Come help us celebrate the opening of an Austin original at this fun event for the whole family.

So come out and visit Austinites, the store “made for weirdos, by weirdos” to find expressive items that offer the personality, touch and taste lacking at national chains.

The store hours are from 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Sunday. Austinites is located at 13343 US Highway 183 North in the Anderson Arbor Center between Kerbey Lane and Main Event. For info on becoming a vendor, please call David at (512) 782-0691.
