BRIC Countries to Expand Global Mobile TV Subscriber Base

BRIC countries are projected to account for more than 15% of global mobile subscriber base by the end of 2013, says a new research report from RNCOS.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 07, 2010 ) New Delhi, India - In the last decade, BRIC countries have emerged as the fastest growing and potentially the largest economies of the world. In spite of economic crisis, they attained substantial economic growth rate last year. With the rapidly growing economy and huge young population base, the mobile market in these countries has surged up. The rollout of advanced technologies such as 3G, 4G and rapid acceptance of these technologies have paved the way for tremendous growth of mobile TV market. Resultantly, mobile TV subscriber base of BRIC countries will account for more than 15% of the global mobile TV subscriber base, says our new research report “Global Mobile TV Forecast to 2013”.

China is the biggest mobile TV market among the developing economies. The vast mobile phone subscriber base and rollout of 3G in 2009 makes the country most lucrative for the operators and vendors (both domestic and foreign) to rapidly expand the mobile TV services. With this, the mobile TV users in China are anticipated to reach nearly 175 Million by 2013, growing at a CAGR of more than 62% from 2009.

Our team of experts has also found Russia telecom market as the largest telecom market in Europe that provides huge customer base for mobile TV operators. With the entry of various global giants, the country has experienced considerable price reduction, which is playing an important role in fueling the mobile TV subscriber base. As a result, the mobile TV subscriber base is anticipated to cross 17 Million by the end of 2013.
