Pro Fighting Fans Covers UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin
Popular MMA & UFC news site covers live UFC 116 results on Saturday night
(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 30, 2010 ) Cleveland, OH - ProFighting-fans.com, one of the leading online sources for mixed martial arts news, interviews, analysis, and commentary is pleased to announce that we will be providing a live blog complete with round-by-round results and commentary for the entire main card of UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin, which takes place Saturday, July 3 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the main card airing live on Pay Per View.
Should you be unable to attend the event live or order the Pay Per View, ProFighting-fans.com has you covered with detailed analysis and live UFC 116 results for the entire card as well as a live round-by-round blog of the Spike TV and Pay Per View televised portions of the fight card. In the meantime, Pro Fighting Fans has already posted our UFC 116 predictions for each fight on the UFC 116 fight card.
Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated MMA events in recent memory, UFC 116 marks the long-awaited return of UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar as he attempts to defend his title for the second time against undefeated contender and powerful knockout artist Shane Carwin.
After battling through a life-threatening case of diverticulitis following his dominant title defense against Frank Mir at UFC 100 in July of 2009, Lesnar finally returned to training in order to prepare for what will surely be the biggest test of his career to date, both in terms of physical size and competition.
Standing across the cage from Lesnar on fight night will be the first man that should truly be able to match the defending champion in terms of physical size, strength, and tenacity. While Carwin, a 12-0 phenom with knockout power in both hands, has not made it out of the first round to date in his professional career, it is due to no fault of his own, as he has knocked out all of his professional opponents, including highly ranked UFC contenders Gabriel Gonzaga and Frank Mir in the first round.
When these two behemoths collide on July 3 in Las Vegas, the clash might be felt for miles around, as this fight literally represents the biggest heavyweight clash in the promotion’s history. When the dust clears on the morning of July 4, only one man will be left standing, and only one man will truly be able to call himself the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion.
