Intensified Competition to Drive Turkey Telecom Sector Revenue

With increased competition and rapid uptake of emerging technologies, Turkey mobile telecom sector revenues are forecasted to rise, says a new research from RNCOS.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 22, 2010 ) New Delhi, India - Mobile subscriber base in Turkey has crossed the penetration rate of 85% in 2009 and the saturation of mobile market is far away because of young tech savvy population and roll out of new technologies. The mobile subscriber base is forecasted to reach nearly 70 Million by the end of 2012, says our new report “Turkey Telecom Sector Forecast to 2012”.

Our research identifies that the main driving factor for the burgeoning Turkish telecom sector is the intensifying competition. The presence of large number of players in the country is forcing mobile operators to look for new sources of revenue generation. As a result, various mergers and acquisitions are taking place in the industry. Advanced technologies such as 3G, WiMAX and IPTV have already been rolled out by the operators. In order to support these technologies and to provide high services, significant investments for the deployment of network infrastructures have been made. In addition to this, regulatory reforms and the arrival of MNP are also supposed to drive the telecommunication market revenue in coming times.

Most importantly, our team of experts has done a comprehensive research on the telecommunication sector of Turkey by segmenting it into Fixed-line, Mobile, Internet and Broadband. To provide in-depth knowledge of the industry, we have further segmented the Internet sector on the basis of technology, and mobile subscriber on the basis of operators.
