New bakery, market, pets and garden-themed images have been added to Wix' free archive of photographs, and new styles of page arrows can be used to improve the navigation of web pages, photo galleries and media players. Clicking on these new items causes a customization panel to pop up inside the website builder, allowing users to change the item's color, size, linkability and visual effects.

Brand new templates have also been added to the Wix package of free Flash website design. Made by professional web designers, each template is free and can be edited using the tools inside the web editor. The new templates have themes including Food & Drink (Pizza Parlor, Sushi Bar, Bakery, Diner and Bistro), Yoga, Jewelry Design, Coaching and Collectibles. Every template is fully customizable, so users can upload their own company logos, images, text and links.

Once a user is ready to release their customized creation to the web, clicking on a Publish button takes the site live. The updates are instantly seen on the live version of the site – no waiting period necessary, or approval by a third-party. Users who wish to sell products or services directly from their Wix sites may do so with the shopping cart widget found in Wix, and upgrading their free website to premium. Upgrading also grants the user control over the site's domain as well as access to Google Analytics and other promotional perks.
