The stores, located in Fort Worth, Granbury, Weatherford and Ferris, Texas, drew 100’s of participants including hardware and rental store owners, contractors, surplus dealers and individuals looking for deals.

Three of the stores were well established north Texas businesses that operated under the franchise name Handyman Hardware. A representative for the Cadle Company in Ohio who contracted Mike Jones Auction Group to conduct the auctions said they were very pleased with the hard work and diligence the auction company displayed during the preparation, marketing and conduct of the auctions. It was noted by a regional company representative who attended each auction how professional the auction team was and what a good job they did in netting a higher return on the dollar than expected.
The fourth store, located in Ferris, TX, operated as Texas Supply Depot, Hardware & Feed. After several years of successful business, the store owners decided it was time to sell so that they could concentrate on their construction business. When asked by Mike Jones why they chose the auction company, the owner replied that they had attended several of the company’s auctions over the years and liked the way the stores were advertised, organized and lotted. The liquidation auction of the 67 year old Stolfa Brothers True Value in Ardmore, Oklahoma left the biggest positive impression and was the determining factor.
