R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., 08-CA-131, Florida Circuit Court (Gainesville). Mr. Mitnik and Mr. Prysock represented Lyantie Townsend in this lawsuit against R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., the second-biggest U.S. cigarette maker. Lyantie Townsend was widowed when her husband Frank died from lung cancer in 1995. He had been a smoker since age 13 or 14. The six state court jurors voted unanimously in her favor.

Keith Mitnik joined Morgan & Morgan in 1997 and is a member of the firm’s Orlando office.
