BAR HARBOR, Maine – Not many trips can live up to the prestige of a New England holiday. This legendary seaside escape is celebrated for its sunny beaches, breathtaking scenery and world-renowned seafood.

Christmas in June
Christmas Spirit Shop, 80 Main St.
Kids are invited to bring their imaginations and create nautical ornaments using sea-inspired materials including shells and driftwood.
Brass and the Beach
Jessup Memorial Library, 34 Mt. Desert St.
Don’t forget your dancing shoes when you come to hear talented local music students perform as part of Bar Harbor Brass Week!
Art comes to Life
Linden O’Ryan Gallery, 92 Herrick Rd., Southwest Harbor
Stop in to see artists Christina Heiniger, Linden O’Ryan and Jackie Haines breathe life into raw materials through demonstrations including puppet making and watercolors.
For the Sophisticates:
Oil and Vinegar
Fiore, 8 Rodick Place
Venture to Fiore Artisan Olive Oils and Vinegars to sample extra virgin olive oils from around the world and balsamic vinegars from Modean Italy! As your taste buds sigh with delight learn about production and aging of the products and watch as they’re bottled fresh for you.
Sun Prints Workshop
House Wine, 227 Main St.
Use one of the earliest photographic processes to make photograms using the sun. This workshop is led by photographer and educator Josh Winer. Materials are included.
Meet the Potter
Island Artisans, 99 Main St.
Meet Jody Johnstone who spent two years apprenticing with a Japanese master potter before moving to Maine. She will be sharing some of her anagma fired stoneware which is handmade and wood fired in massive multi-day firing sessions.

Concert- Ned Ferm’s Jazz Trio
Agamont Park
Don’t miss the internationally acclaimed Ned Ferm, Kim Cass and Mike Bennett perform an amazing musical concoction blending jazz, African rhythms, hymns, and a little country twang!
Comedy Show
Bayside Landing, 15 Cottage St.
See the improvisers of ImprovAcadia create a hilarious show using only your suggestions and their quick wits. ImprovAcadia features a cast of professional improvisers from Chicago. The show is appropriate for all ages but minors must be accompanied by an adult.
The festival wraps up with the 60th annual Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce juried Art Show. More than 30 artists will display and sell their original works in oils, watercolors, acrylics, photography and other media. Also, throughout the week in concurrence with the Legacy of the Arts Festival, visitors can enjoy Bar Harbor Brass Week. This intensive educational experience for select college and high school brass musicians showcases several musical performances throughout the week – adding another layer of bohemian celebration to the Maine festival.
