Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY) is the top gainer and jumped 7.30% to $44.17, close to its 52-week high of $45.55. The company posted a better-than-expected profit and revenue in the fourth quarter. For the quarter ended February 27, the company earned $779 million, or $1.82 a share, compared to $570 million, or $1.35 a share, a year ago period.
The company’s revenue grew 12% to $16.55 billion.
Analysts were looking the company to report earnings of $1.79 a share on revenue of $16.08 billion.
GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME) rose 1.52% to $22.04 on high volume. Over the past five trading sessions, the stock has jumped over 14%. Last week, the company posted better-than-expected quarterly results and upbeat outlook
Macy's, Inc. (NYSE:M) surged 0.60% to $21.63.
Saks Incorporated (NYSE:SKS) climbed over 1% to $9.26.
J.C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) jumped 2% to $33.42 on high volume. So far this year, the stock has jumped over 24%.
Dillard's, Inc. (NYSE:DDS) made a new 52-week high at $24.40 and now up 1.50% at $24.36.
