First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) jumped 3% to $112.73 after The maker of thin-film solar cells was rated “overweight” in new coverage at Morgan Stanley.
Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) climbed over 4% to $18.45 after hitting a new 52-week high of $18.53 earlier in the session. This morning, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. lifted its price estimate on shares of the third-largest U.S. homebuilder to $20 from $18.
Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) also rose 3% to $30.56 after creating a new 52-week high of $30.83. This morning, JPMorgan upgraded the largest U.S. hotel chain to “overweight” from “neutral”.
Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. (NASDAQ:SLXP) gained 8.35% to $36.27 after hitting a fresh 52-week high of $38.00. The drugmaker won approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to expand use of its biggest medicine, Xifaxan, for a toxic liver disease.
UTi Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:UTIW) took a hit this morning and fell 7.50% to $15.83 after the company reported fourth-quarter profit that missed analysts’ average estimate by 64%.
