Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) went up 0.89% to $29.63 on 50.39 million shares after Citigroup maintained its Buy rating on Microsoft and raised its price target to $32 from $31 after a visit to the Microsoft campus. The bank expects the software giant to report 2010 EPS of $2.05, versus consensus estimates of $2.01.
Fannie Mae (NYSE:FNM) soared 6.67% to $1.12 on 58.48 million shares. Fannie Mae, the largest U.S. home funding source, on Wednesday said it sold $5 billion of benchmark bills at higher interest rates compared with an auction of the same maturities a week ago.
LSI Corporation (NYSE:LSI) increased 8.93% to $6.34 on 41.48 million shares. The company updated its guidance for the first quarter of 2010 and now expects revenue to be in the range of $620-$640 million, GAAP net (loss) income per share (EPS) to be in the range of $(0.03)-$0.04 and non-GAAP EPS to be in the range of $0.07-$0.11.
Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) soared 6.35% to $1.34 on 31.50 million shares. So far the stock is down over 28% in the last six months of trading sessions.
International Paper Company (NYSE:IP) added 6.46% to $27.02 on 15.64 million shares. The company has a 52-week high of $28.61 and is up over 12% in the last six months of trading sessions.
