The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 44.51 points to 10611.84 the Standard & Poor's 500 rose 4.63 points to 1150.24 and the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 9.51 points to 2368.46. Wendy's Arby's Group Inc. (NYSE:WEN) added 2.10% to $4.86 on 5.27 million shares. The stock is up over 22% in the last three months of trading sessions.
McDonald's Corporation (NYSE:MCD) surged 0.42% to $65.21 on 4.35 million shares. The stock is very close to its new 52-week high of $65.75 and is up over 19% in the last six months of trading sessions.
Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE:YUM) gained 1.14% to $37.30 on 3.68 million shares. Yesterday, UBS upgraded the shares of Yum Brands Inc to "Buy" from "Neutral," and said it sees”acceleration" in the Pizza Hut-owner's refranchising and global expansion initiatives.
Darden Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE:DRI) went up 0.07% to $42.28 on 1.58 million shares.
Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE:EAT) rose 2.83% to $20 on 2.06 million shares.
