The company today reported a fourth-quarter profit on Thursday as the giant-screen movie theater operator benefited from a strong slate of films, including Fox's "Avatar: An IMAX 3D Experience." Imax posted a net profit of $4 million, or 6 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $9 million, or 21 cents a share.

The Gymboree Corporation (NASDAQ:GYMB) added 7.32% to $49.68. The company said late Wednesday its fourth-quarter profit rose to $33.2 million, or $1.11 a share, from $29.5 million, or $1 a share, in the year-ago period.
