Reuters reported that according to a Swedish business daily, Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. has secured financing to buy Ford Motor Company owned Volvo cars for about 15 billion Swedish crowns ($2.10 billion). Chinese financial institutions and regional government bodies had provided the money for Geely to complete its purchase.
SunTrust Banks, Inc. (NYSE:STI) gains 4.45% to $26.98 on 3.39 million shares.
Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) added 2.24% to $0.931 on 9.66 million shares.
YRC Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ:YRCW) is up 2.45% to $0.532 on 6.87 million shares.
Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) surges 5.31% to $9.91 on 6.87 million shares.
