Following are some of the notable movers in Tuesday’s morning session.
After rising over 28% in yesterday’s session, today Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CTIC) just fell 2.61% on very volume. Yesterday, it announced that the FDA has completed its inspection of the facility at NerPharMa, which manufactures the CTI's drug pixantrone and has found the site in compliance and acceptable for continued manufacturing of the drug product.
DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS) fell 1% to $6.03 after morning up over 7.50% yesterday. According to Briefing.com, Greek dry bulk shipping giant DryShips could be a potential buyout candidate for Danish conglomerate Maersk.
Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) trading almost flat ahead of its significant product announcement on Tuesday morning that it says "will forever change the Internet." Analysts believe it is a new networking technology.
Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE:MMC) jumped 0.60% to $23.86. The company has put its corporate investigations unit Kroll up for sale, with a price tag of around $1.3 billion, the Financial Times reported.
H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE:HRB) fell 1.90% to $16..27 after it reported a higher third-quarter net income of $50.6 million, or 15 cents a share even as revenues decreased, and beat Wall Street estimates.
Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) trading flat. Ford Motor Co. (F) launched a made-for-India compact car Tuesday -- the four-door Figo, Italian for "cool" -- as it continues its push into fast-growing Asian markets.
Palm, Inc. (NASDAQ:PALM) shares made a new 52-week low of $5.46 in the morning session and now recovered from this lkow’s and trading 2.35% up at $5.68. So far this year, the stock has plummeted over 43%.
UAL Corporation (NASDAQ:UAUA) rose 6.63% to $18.68 after hitting a fresh 52-week high of $19.06. UAL Corporation, the parent company of United Airlines, said on Monday that revenue for each passenger flown a mile increased by 17%-19% in February. The company said that the weather-related cancellations that affected the country’s East Coast have reduced revenue by about $40 million.
Comerica Incorporated (NYSE:CMA) fell 1.52% to $35.74 after it said it will offer $800 million in common shares with J.P. Morgan Securities as the book-running manager.
