Hip-Hop Marvel Baby Triggy Performing During NYC Fashion Week
New York Hip-Hop boy Wonder Baby Triggy/Young Deon Kicking off Fashion Week Feb 11th With a Performance at the Sapphire Lounge.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 12, 2010 ) NEW YORK, NY – Baby Triggy, the 13-year-old hip-hop phenomenon, and 17-year-old rising super star singer Young Deon, will be performing this Thursday, February 11th for the NYC Fashion Week SABIT NYC Press Preview @ Sapphire Lounge 249 Eldridge St. There will be an open bar from 8pm-10pm with an after party following from 10pm-3am.
Fashion Week happens every year to celebrate culture and commerce in the contemporary street wear community. Unlike the "urban" or high-end markets, street wear directly evolved from a lifestyle that, as of recent, has become very mainstream. To celebrate the growth of the culture and the brands that have laid their mark, Contemporary Street Wear Fashion Week is born. A week of events, parties and mini-shows leading to the Contemporary Street Wear Fashion Show on February 17th at the Affinia Hotel Ballroom, in the heart of New York City, across from Madison Square Garden. Featuring SABIT NYC, LAVIE and some of street wears top brands! Events will take place at various Street Wear Boutiques, clubs and lounges across the city.
Born in Queens, New York, Baby Triggy’s career started at the age of ten. He was out with his father when they dropped by his dad’s friends’ music studio. Baby Triggy was blown away hearing the sounds of rap music. He asked his dad if he could give it a try and was told “it’s not as easy as it sounds.” His father’s friend said “give him a shot” and shortly after hearing the young man, they were both amazed.
Baby Triggy got his name from Mr. Fingers, who put the stamp on artists such as Jay-Z, DMX, Ja-Rule, and Fabolous. During an initial recording session, Mr. Fingers was impressed with Baby Triggy’s ability to get it right the first time, saying he’s a baby gunner, “a baby triggy.” The name has stuck since then.
At the age of eleven, Baby Triggy was offered a deal with a major record label. After discussing it with his family, he decided to wait until he was a little older. Since that first day in the recording studio he has gone on to record several songs. “Ice Cream”, “Crazy Days”, “Shine”, “Fran”, “My Imagination”, and “I’m Just a Kid” are all singles that can be enjoyed on Baby Triggy’s MySpace page. He’s quickly amassed over 398,000 friends and over 1.25 million views on his MySpace page! The spectacular new single “Ice Cream” has received phenomenal reviews and over 745,000 listens by fans.
