The Gap Inc. (NYSE:GPS) rose 4% during the last week. Its January sales rose 5%, while analysts were expecting 4.40%.
99 Cents Only Stores (NYSE:NDN) rallied over 18% in the recent week. The company posted a 2.3% increase in net consolidated sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2010, and increased consolidated gross profit to $154.9 million from $142.8 million in the third quarter of the prior fiscal year.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (NYSE:ANF) closed at $33.18 with a weekly gain of over 5% after the company posted a surprise increase of 8% in the latest month, when analysts were calling for an 8.4% drop.
Macy's, Inc. (NYSE:M) also performed strongly and surged over 3% after its January sales rose 3.40% versus the analysts estimates of flat sales.
Tuesday Morning Corporation (NASDAQ:TUES) rose over 135 in the last week.
