(NASDAQ:CYTK) was among the active losers in today`s trading session as it plunged over 18.50% to close at $3.48 on huge volume of over 2.01 million shares after the company reported revenues from research and development collaborations of $5.5 million for the third quarter of 2009. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has asked for additional data to show that the drug Intermezzo, when taken in the middle of the night as directed, would not present any risk, particularly related to driving ability on the next day.

Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ:PODD) was also the active loser in today’s trading session and fell 6.02% to end the day at $10.31on unusual volume of over 1.09 million shares after Insulet Corporation announced that it will initiate, subject to market conditions, an underwritten public offering of 5,500,000 shares of common stock under an effective shelf registration statement on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission. It is currently anticipated that the underwriters will be granted an over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 825,000 shares of common stock.
