Boise is home to Boise Philharmonic and Opera Idaho as well as several dance companies, including the Trey McIntyre Project, Ballet Idaho, and Idaho Dance Theatre. The Idaho Botanical Garden offers year-round events and is considered a regional destination garden filled with significant and notable plant collections.

A variety of adventures await and southwest Idaho offers itineraries for active adventures as well as laid-back vacations for all outdoor enthusiasts. The area appeals to many interests and a year-round escape here means desert exploring, horseback riding, multiple watersports, hiking, skiing and much more. Points of interest are multiple, including an observatory at a state park, museums and heritage and cultural sights.
