“On August 18, the Company announced that its vaccine candidate protected ferrets against H1N1 at a high rate of success. The Company stated that the production of the vaccine took only four weeks using its novel VLP technology platform, while production times of competing vaccines take up to six months. High dosage and low dosage injections revealed efficacy in the ferret population, while ferrets not receiving the vaccine became ill. Human testing is expected later this year.”
