The Tonight Show’s Conan O’Brien Drops in to Visit Vivid Entertainment
The welcome mat was out at Vivid Entertainment headquarters on Cahuenga Blvd W. when Conan O'Brien came to call with The Tonight Show sidekick Andy Richter.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 26, 2009 ) LOS ANGELES – The welcome mat was out at Vivid Entertainment headquarters on Cahuenga Blvd W. when Conan O'Brien came to call with The Tonight Show sidekick Andy Richter.
As part of an ongoing series of segments in which they meet their new neighbors in Los Angeles, Conan, Andy and a crew dropped in to visit with studio founder Steven Hirsch and some of the Vivid Girls. The taped episode was broadcast on NBC Tuesday night.
The segment started with O'Brien standing in front of the Vivid Plaza sign with a cut to a Vivid promo from Jenna Jameson saying "at Vivid we know all about great sex." O'Brien then meets Hirsch in his office, where he was in conversation with Vivid Girls Sunny Leone and Monique Alexander. Accepting Hirsch's invitation to take a tour of the offices accompanied by Meggan Mallone and other Vivid Girls. His first stop was the conference room where he saw two actresses sitting on a table rehearsing a scene. "'The Iceman Cometh' I presume," O'Brien cracks.
As the segment moved along O'Brien walked through the vault where 25 years of Vivid movies are stored and viewers saw him sneak a master tape off of a shelf and hide it under his shirt. The next stop was the editing suite, where he found Richter engrossed in watching a Vivid movie and munching on popcorn.
The segment closed back in the conference room, where Conan distributed Choco Taco® bars to all of the girls, who gave him a "Welcome to the neighborhood!" shout-out.
"We're all fans of the show and we were delighted that they wanted to visit with us," said Hirsch. "Everyone involved in producing the segment was fun to work with and we're hoping that they visit again since we're right across the street from the NBC studios."
