Heroes’ Star Milo Ventimiglia Sports Syren Latex To Play In ‘Gamer’ Due In Theaters On September 4

(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 24, 2009 ) LOS ANGELES -- Milo Ventimiglia, a star of the popular "Heroes" NBC TV series, will be sporting Syren Latex's sexy black rubber FP Polo Shirt in the highly anticipated movie Gamer scheduled to debut in theaters on Friday, September 4th.
Ventimiglia is best known for his role as Peter Petrelli in "Heroes" and is a "big fan" of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the creators of "Gamer" as well as Crank and Crank: High Voltage.
"I am working with guys that are setting the trends for filmmaking for the next generation. I really think they are. They write everything. And they don't go about filmmaking the way they are told to. They do whatever they want and it's great. They are inventors," said Ventimiglia recently to Movieweb.com (http://www.movieweb.com/news/NemN7rpmft9Kpq).
"Milo's sleek latex shirt works perfectly for a character in a futuristic society," said Syren brand manager Ann-Marie Holman. "The styling is deceptively simple. It's a body-hugging black polo shirt with accent bands on the short sleeves and collar. It can enhance a sexy or a complex personality."
In his "Gamer" role as Rick Rape, Ventimiglia is forced to play in "Slayers" – an online game that is a form of high-tech slavery. Gerard Butler plays Kabel, a death row inmate who also plays in the violent multi-player game and who reluctantly becomes a pop culture hero. Michael C. Hall plays Ken Castle who invented the game.
For over 15 years Syren has supplied latex designs to the entertainment industry and private customers, who shop for the latest styles at its boutique and showroom on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The handcrafted, high-quality Syren couture creations are popular because of their second skin appeal, which flatters the figure and allows ease of movement without sacrificing aesthetics.
Syren has a long history of film credits including costumes for The Matrix, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Men in Black and most recently, Sacha Baron Cohen's Bruno, but the latex atelier is best known for the sleek super heroine suits fashioned for Malin Akerman's Silk Spectre II character in Watchmen and for Michelle Pfeiffer in her role as Catwoman.
Pfeiffer's iconic catsuit was recently on display at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" exhibit. When asked on The Today Show which of the costumes on display was her favorite, famed Vogue editor Anna Wintour said: "Catwoman every time, absolutely!"
