Oklahoma City rockers Siva Addiction receive rave review on InfamousGuitar.com
Siva Addiction, a heavy-hitting band out of Oklahoma City led by rock hottie Bridgette Oliver, has their CD "Artifice" reviewed by InfamousGuitar.com in July of 2008 - and the verdict is in. Siva rocks.
(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 28, 2009 ) We’ve all seen how “heavy” music has changed over the years, from hard rock to acid rock, metal to thrash, grunge to alternative. Every now and then, heavy, guitar driven music finds a new trail to blaze in its evolution, and this writer thinks he’s found an entirely new genus of “heavy” in Siva Addiction.
Siva Addiction is a new yet very rapidly emerging hard rock/metal/something-else-altogether band, and difficult as it may be to “fit“ Siva into a well-defined box, it’s easy to see that they won‘t have trouble cutting out their own niche. Hailing from Oklahoma City, OK, singer Bridgette Oliver’s thought-provoking, eloquent lyrics and truly unique vocal style come across soulful, dark and beautiful in songs like “Promises” and “Dirty Secret”, two tracks from their recently released album “Artifice”.
Thumping and throbbing rhythmic accents pound their way into the psyche in the tribal-like intro of title track of their recently released album, Artifice. Bassist Brian Shafer and drummer Brandon Fields complement each other well in Siva’s rhythm section, setting the backdrop for a virtual onslaught of sonic mayhem brought forth by the band’s axe-wielding maniacs, Bryan Jackson and David Bittle.
