Phase I construction began in April, and is expected to be completed in August of 2009. The system will be a redundant fiber-optic communications network.

Students and administrators will be able to interact in a more effective, efficient and timely manner. Advanced features such as distance learning, video conferencing, and high speed Internet access will help Stafford County maintain their status as the second fastest-growing county in the state of Virginia.
