The mid-summer celebration of all things jazzy will offer two stages of free continuous jazz jams from local and regional musicians, jazz art, and educational sessions for students, as well as a special ticketed national headliner concerts including the Ramsey Lewis Trio on Thursday, July 9, and Al Jarreau on Saturday, July 11, presented for Beet Street. The Downtown Business Association will also present a FREE Saturday concerts portion of the Fort Collins Jazz Experience weekend, where jazz lovers can revel in the sounds of 14 outstanding Colorado jazz bands and orchestras that will appear outside at various locations around the city, including historic Old Town Square. Round out the musical weekend with dinner in one of the city’s restaurants while hearing live jazz music or take mini-musicians to a Children’s Jazz Experience at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art.
