These exclusive events feature the upcoming collections of talented, emerging fashion designers with the opportunity for wholesale order placement.
 
The series of events will be held solely for store owners, store buyers, store management, and members of the press. The private events will feature complimentary hors d’oeuvres in a relaxed and social setting. Samia Lansat of the Lansat Group at Smith Barney Morgan Stanley, will be on hand to give her business investing presentation, “Profit Past Retail – Investing in Your Business’ Future.” Another presentation will be given on “Direct Marketing – Increase Your Clientele Creatively and Personally” from direct marketing firm, On-Card Marketing, Inc.
 
The evening of business and pleasure will be capped off with, “Globetrotting Resort 2009,” a presenting the 2009 Resort collections of the GFS  contemporary designers. Buyers will be able to place wholesale orders for the following Global Fashion Scout designers: Beautiful People, Juju Costa, and Mme. Weathersby - along with a special addition of Project Runway Season 5 finalist, Kenley Collins.
 
The first “Meeting of the Minds” will be held on June 30, 2009 at 5:30 pm at Sundy House located at 106 S. Swinton Ave. Delray Beach, FL 33444. The second South Florida event will be held on July 6, 2009 at 5:30 pm at iCorsini on 560 Washington Ave. Miami Beach, FL 33139. The third buyer social will commence on July 7, 2009 at 5:30 pm at Prezzo’s – 18831 Biscayne Blvd. Aventura, FL 33180. All “Meeting of the Minds” events are of absolutely no cost to attendees but invitation only.
 
“Meeting of the Minds” events will expand to include events in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and other fashion-forward U.S. cities.
