The first professional 24-bit USB microphone designed for high performance broadcast applications, the MXL .009 USB offers plug and play simplicity and spares users the expense of having to buy an external mic preamp or other costly equipment.

According to MXL, a special feature of the MXL USB.009 mic is a voltage converter that operates the analog front-end similarly to a pure analog mic. Other high-end features include a large 32mm condenser capsule with 6-micron gold diaphragm and a front panel that includes a headphone jack for monitoring recordings with zero delay.

The MXL USB.009 has front-panel gain control and allows users to set the mix between playback and recording for easy monitoring of multi-track recordings. It also uses a studio quality headphone amplifier that provides plenty of volume with any headphone with impedance from 32 to 200 ohms.

Installation is simple with no special drivers required. Simply connect the MXL USB.009 directly to the USB port on a Mac or PC and you’re ready to record with your favorite software.

The new MXL USB.009 ships with an aluminum flight case, desktop microphone stand, microphone stand mount adapter, 10-foot USB 2.0 high speed cable, micro-fiber cleaning cloth, an owner’s manual, and a microphone applications guide. The MXL USB.009 has a street price of $399.99.
