(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 25, 2009 ) Henderson, AZ -- "ACT Cares" has partnered with DES (Arizona Department of Economic Security) to create a special outreach program to local families who are currently struggling with today’s economic demands, the chance to take 4 weeks of classes at no cost!

The "ACT Cares" program will allow up to 45 students to attend free acting workshops after school at the ACT classrooms in downtown Phoenix, AZ. Class sizes are limited to 15 kids per age group on a first come, first serve basis. Kids ages 6 to 17 can apply. Parents will have to fill out a simple application form for consideration and submit to a project manager with DES.

Workshop Sessions will beginning on April 15, 2009, and end on May 6, 2009. The students will showcase their talent and newly learned skills with the Industry on May 13, 2009. This new program provides an opportunity for children from financially strapped families to build self-esteem and develop performance skills that will benefit them throughout their adult lives.
