Jesse Merlin, the American opera singer known for his antics with Johnny Knoxville on Jackassworld.com, stars as the President of the USA in cult phenomenon The Beastly Bombing, a light-hearted comedy about terrorism written in frothy Gilbert & Sullivan

An underground sensation, it ran for a year in Los Angeles, won the LA Weekly award for Best Musical of the Year, received ovations at the New York Musical Theater Festival, and earned front-page coverage in The New York Times Sunday arts section. It gathered a devoted following of celebrities including Johnny Knoxville, who brought more than 25 friends to see the show. In the show, two white supremacists bump heads with two al-Qaeda terrorists trying to blow up the Brooklyn Bridge, and then argue- in song- about who has the preeminent right to do so. Merlin stars as the sex-and-bomb obsessed President, alongside his drugged-out daughters, a pedophile priest dancing the can-can, an anti-Semitic Hasidic Jew, an evil gay Jesus... and the list goes on.
