Cedar City, Utah is dubbed Festival City USA for a clear reason -- it hosts 22 annual festivals and there's something for everyone so head to southern Utah for some event fun and national park stops.

Spring: Himmelsk-The Festival Royale April 1; Thunderbird Film Festival in mid-April (TBA); and The Utah Summer Games June 3-21.
Summer: Groovefest-American Music Festival June 24-28; American Family Fest July 2-4; Cedar Breaks National Monument Wildflower Festival the month of July; July Jamboree begins July 11and festivities run for a week; Utah Mid-Summer Renaissance Faire July 8-11; Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival June 29 to August 29 and Sept. 18 to Oct. 17; Neil Simon Festival July 13-August 15; and the Cedar City Arts Festival August 28-29.
Fall and Winter: Cedar City Livestock and Heritage Festival (Oct. 23-24); The Annual Pumpkin Festival (Oct. 24); Parowan Christmas in the Country (Nov. 27-28); American Children’s Christmas Festival (Dec. 4-7 and Dec. 11-14); and Family New Year’s Party (Dec. 31).

Everyone loves a festival and the fact that we are centrally located to so many national parks make it a superb setting and easy vacation planning.”
National parks close to Cedar City are Cedar Breaks National Monument, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Grand Staircase, Kolob Canyons, and Zion National Park, as well as recreation areas like Lake Powell, Dixie National Forest, and Red Canyon.
