HAYWOOD COUNTY REAL ESTATE AGENT BELIEVES AREA HAS HISTORY ON ITS SIDE

Cary Feldman, who resides in the quaint little town of Waynesville North Carolina, believes knowing the history of this city nestled in the Smoky Mountains is important to its survival.

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 06, 2009 ) Even in a great location like Waynesville, North Carolina, Cary Feldman and other local real estate agents are feeling the effects of a nationwide recession.

But Feldman is a firm believer in his city and will give everyone who passes through everything they need to know to fall in love with the place he calls home.

“If you ever dreamed of one day living your life in the mountains, now is the time to buy with sellers motivated and interest rates at the lowest levels we will probably ever see again” Feldman is quoted as saying. He also goes on to say once this market turns around, this area of North Carolina (Waynesville/Maggie Valley) which is already a popular tourist destinations is poised for what he knows will be a tremendous migration of people who have just been waiting for the right time. Feldman goes on to say that he has worked with many perspective clients from Florida that are just waiting for the right time.

Some of the facts about Haywood County (Waynesville/Maggie Valley) Feldman loves to share with everyone are:

Haywood County has a radius of 546 square miles and about 57,000 residents.

First established in 1808, Haywood County was named for John Haywood the North Carolina treasurer from 1787 to 1827.

The annual average temperature is 54 degrees.

The Blue Ridge Parkway winds its way around the county with four entrances to this scenic byway and its many hiking, viewing and picnic spots along the way.

Feldman said, that the most famous attraction in the area is the Great Smoky Mountains. Haywood County is home to part of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the most visited National Park in the U.S. The area has recently been designated a Blue Ridge Heritage area and is well known for its creativity in arts and crafts.

Fourteen peaks in the Great Smoky Mountains soar to elevations of at least 6,000 feet (more than any east of the Mississippi River).

Feldman also wanted everyone to know, that Haywood County is easily reached from most places. Only 20 minutes east of Cherokee, N.C. Two hours and 30 minutes from Atlanta. Two hours and 20 minutes to Charlotte. One hour and fifteen minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Asheville Regional Airport is located about 40 minutes east. Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport I just over an hour drive.
