Iowa B&Bs know there way around good egg recipes
Thanks to the Iowa Bed & Breakfast Innkeepers Association, cooks now have tasty new ways to prepare eggs — and good reasons to buy additional cartons of incredible edible egg. No other state produces more eggs than Iowa!
The book is a means of sharing the meritorious cooking skills of Iowa innkeepers and to help the Iowa travelers locate and identify getaway accommodation throughout the state. The book is designed to specifically meet the needs of people who love to cook and want access to recipes from experienced innkeepers around the state.
Innkeeper Donna Muilenburg, owner and innkeeper at the Okoboji Country Inn, showedcased several of her recipes in the new Iowa Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers Association cookbook, "Discover Iowa: Cooking with Iowa Wines, Meats and Other Iowa Products" by Amelia Painter. One of Muilenburg's favorites is her Brunch Casserole, which was a favorite of Annabelle's Tea Room luncheon guests for many years, as well as a family favorite.
"This is not your typical egg dish, and is perfect to make when you have a lot of company and want to make a statement," said Muilenburg. She also wanted to share this recipe with young cooks to demonstrate that you don't have to be in the kitchen all day to make a wonderful and different entree that will please everyone.
The cookbook is now available for sale at Amazon.com and other online book stores. At just $16.95 this new cookbook makes a great holiday gift.
