The workshops are designed to offer guidance on selecting a granite countertop and information on care and maintenance of granite countertops. The one hour workshops take place every Thursday evening at 6:00pm and Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm.

Charlie explains, “Selecting a granite countertop can be an overwhelming experience, especially when you are faced with over 1200 unique slabs of granite, as we have in our showroom in Macomb, Michigan. We will be offering tips on narrowing down the selection based on color, texture, finish types and other characteristics featured in a granite countertop. A well-informed decision is usually a good choice when selecting one of the most durable items in your kitchen or bathroom remodeling project. A countertop is not something that is as easily or often changed as paint, window treatments or throw rugs, so one will want to make a good choice.”

Charlie went on to say, “Once one has selected their new custom countertop and we have installed it, they will need to know how to properly maintain it to keep it looking new for many years. Though a granite countertop is very durable, heat resistant, scratch and stain resistant, it does require some care to maintain its quality and good looks. We cover care and maintenance instructions at the workshop so our customers will be well informed as to how to maintain their new granite countertop.
