Flying Cinematic Robots Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Candycam, LLC launches a Kickstarter campaign that will allow the company to quickly take their expertise with high end robotic camera positioning equipment and begin manufacturing of the smaller, less expensive Skyhook Mini.
This Kickstarter campaign will allow the first units to be acquired for around $2,000. The company believes that the Skyhook Mini will provide breakthrough camera positioning capabilities for higher definition cameras weighing up to 18 ounces, all while enjoying the ability to stably fly anywhere within a large interior space.
The SkyHook Mini is a remotely controlled robotic camera platform suspended by eight cables via four anchor points. It can be programmed to shoot scripted sequences or free flown without a predefined path to capture impromptu moments. The overhead nature of the platform allows an unprecedented range of motion, giving videographers the power to make their vision a reality.
Ease and Affordability: The SkyHook product line consolidates all the movement available through sliders, cranes, tracks, and dollies into one affordable platform, reducing the time, and cost of setup, and operation.
