New Company, ASVS Products, Announces Product Availability Through Amazon To Reach Larger Audience
President of company decides to leverage established customers, world wide name recognition and marketing tools of internet retailer giant Amazon.com
According to an article dated May 21, 2014 in GeekWire, an independent technology news site, "Amazon's Jeff Bezos said today at the company's annual shareholder meeting in Seattle that it added 30 million new customers last year to bring its total active user base to 244 million." Salcido said, "That's a huge customer base now available to us to tap into."
The article went on to say, "What's impressive about this number is that Amazon is growing so quickly in its 19th year of existence. As important as adding new customers is, it's also very telling that Amazon has been able to hold onto its existing user base. This will become even more important as the company continues to develop new ways for people to buy things through ... Amazon."
So, what are some of the advantages of selling products on Amazon? According to Internet Retailer, an online magazine owned by Vertical Web Media which is a privately held company based in Chicago that focuses on providing business intelligence for the e-commerce market, many businesses benefit from using Amazon.com to sell its products because "... the e-commerce behemoth delivers shoppers on a massive scale, and it offers attractive advertising programs to help sell and deliver orders, such as Amazon Product Ads and Fulfillment by Amazon. Amazon Product Ads offer a way for shoppers to compare products by enabling retailers to display items in product ads on Amazon.com search pages. The Fulfillment by Amazon service lets marketplace sellers send their inventory to Amazon to pick, pack and ship on the seller's behalf. The seller's products also are eligible for free shipping under the Amazon Prime membership program."
So, all in all, it looks like Salcido's decision to offer the items available from his company, ASVS Products, to be sold through Amazon.com was a wise one. Salcido says his decision to make his company's products available to a much larger audience through Amazon.com has already been reflected in higher sales volume. From this one move, Salcido says he expects the volume of sales for the ErgoHold Universal Media and Reading Stand to increase significantly which will help his product to eventually become globally well known and used. Is he correct? Only time will tell.
