This group is connected by a Smartphone application or a public web site ehelpcommunity.org, that was specifically designed to help people help each other. It’s free app for phones and tablets as well as a public website that taps into power of social media integration and optimization.
“On ehelpcommunity.org, we are fully dedicated to helping others,” explained Francisco Yanez, The Sr IT Project Manager at FY-SmartWeb-Solutions in Vancouver who is heading up this project. “It’s a virtual community that is fully committed to connecting people that need help with those that are wanting to or able to help.
“It’s also a user-friendly community that allows you to post things you don't need in a convenient and easy way (less than 5 clicks on most cases) we made it that simple!!.”
People logging into ehelpcommunity.org are presented with three options: want help, need help or want to trade something. The app connects them up with people who are willing to provide the services they need, people who need services that other have and do not use anymore or those who would like to trade a good. There are no cash transactions. Everything, including the app, is free.
Since the success of this network lies in the number of people who participate, The Company is looking to launch an extensive marketing campaign to attract members. The estimates cost is about $20,000 and is using an Indiegogo campaign to generate this funding.
The Indiegogo page can be viewed at the Indiegogo site.
Donations of any amount are welcome. For those who contribute $5 or more, perk are available, such as subscriptions to ehelpcommunity.org, key chains, T-shirts, marketing consultations and invitations to a charitable public event.
In addition, ehelpcommunity.org will be donating 10 percent of all money raised to Save the Children, an organization that provides aid and assistance to children all over the world.
“We have the application developed for different phone platforms, we have the web page, and all the service and technical people ready,” Eva Sosnowska (formal CTO) said. “We just need one more thing, a strong marketing campaign.
“We’re only asking people to donate $1 because the more who donate, the stronger the community will be. If you can’t donate, you can help us by becoming a part of ehelpcommunity.org.”
The phone app will be publicly available on June 15 and the website will launch 10 days later, regardless of the amount of funding generated.
