"The California-based pharmaceutical reported revenues in the current quarter at $1,517,000, a drop from the comparable quarter last year of $1,625,000. Current quarter revenues include initial revenues from government contracts with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), worth up to $44.4 million over a contract-life potential of five years to evaluate bavituximab, a drug that has promise for preventing viral hemorrhagic fever infections…
"Total expense increased slightly to $6,677,000 in the current quarter from $6,513,000 in the same quarter a year ago. The increase is attributed to increased investment in research and development of its three clinical programs for bavituximab and Cotara for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection…"
