Inflora Botanica Celebrates May Day With Special Promotion
April Showers Bring May Flowers...
Inflora Botanica CEO says "the earliest May Day celebrations were a festival of flora , the Roman goddess of flowers, for whom Inflora Botanica was named, so naturally we like to celebrate this day. Offering a sale just made it more fun for everyone."
Modern Day May Day celebrations in the US include dancing around a maypole and celebrating the arrival of spring, but May 1st is also International Workers Day, which is celebrated as well.
Other countries that celebrate May Day as a festival of the beginning of spring and as a celebration of nature include Germany, which celebrates the evening before May 1st, France, which does so with the lily of the valley flower and has done so since the mid 1500s, Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Ireland.
Inflora reports that celebrating May Day isn't just about honoring the goddess of flowers but continuing to focus on how the basic constituents of plants nourish and protect us. From food to clothing and shelter, plants play a vital role in our survival and ability to thrive as a species. Says Inflora Botanica's CEO "when you really get to the heart of the matter, the lifecycle of a plant is incredible. It begins as a seed and then breaks open using water and sunlight as it's primary food, and then it draws from the soil to flourish into a larger, growing, and eventually blooming thing! When you apply that concept to the plants that create the ingredients of our products, our rosehip seed oil, well that's really incredible. That is what we celebrated on May Day."
