Doctor's Academic Study Shows That Rosehip Seed Oil Reduces Signs Of Photoaging
Reductions In Wrinkles, Fine Lines And Brown Spots On All Women In Study
Volunteers selected for this study usually spent the 3 months of summer in resorts by the sea or go to the beach every day. Carried out on 20 women between the ages of 25 and 35, the study was done in 1988. The most frequently noted cutaneous signs were surface wrinkles, brown spots, eyelids and in a few cases a very strong tan. All applied rose hip oil on the face from May to August, 1988.
Every eight days the participants were checked. Significant changes were noted beginning in the third week. It was noticed that surface wrinkles started to disappear and spots started to fade. At the end of the fourth month, the disappearance of spots and wrinkles was almost complete. Skin presented a smooth and fresh aspect in almost every case.
Rosehip seed oil, known sometimes as "nature's Retin-A" because of its high quantities of vitamin A, is a highly nutritive oil and has anti-aging affects as have been demonstrated by this study. Inflora Botanica's CEO reports "the findings of this study really exhibit one of the reasons we believe in Rosehip seed oil. There are a lot of reasons to use the oil as it is basically delivering nutrition to the body directly, but the anti-aging benefit is definitely a popular one."
