Zharmae Publishing Press Imprint, F.W. Fife, is Proud to announce the Upcoming Publication of Jesse Sterling Harrison's Novel, Exile of The Prince
Exile of the Prince is the first volume in the three-part series The Prince with One Hundred Brothers by Jesse Sterling Harrison
About the book
Exile of the Prince is a tale of two cities; or, more so a tale of a city and a nearby town. Both places are experiencing the effects of a recent catastrophe. Lucky wakes up in the central square to a ruined city. He recalls nothing of his identity, his life's calling, or even his present location. He is in a desolate, broken-down place, and the air is chilly. Mobile gangs scour the streets. The city is at war with itself as each group bids for survival by any means. Lucky knows only that he must try to survive, and his chances are not good. In hopes to improve his situation, he gathers around himself a group of misfits who will become trusted friends, hopefully.
Some miles away, the deserted hills give way to an area of cultivation. In this valley, crops grow, and a small town endures. Farmers have found it possible to eke out a living, and the town's Council of Elders holds sway. The rules of the Council are strict, and the townspeople are grateful. Although their methods are not high-tech, at least life is stable.
Laura, a native townie, foresees trouble for the settlement. She loves the security but doubts its permanence. One day an enormous flying object crests the hill of the valley. The Elders choose to call this object a "Demon," but Laura knows better. This was a man-made aircraft.
Unbeknownst to each other, Lucky and Laura both reach a conclusion: They need answers. The simplicity of continuing is not an option for Laura, as the village's precarious status has been revealed. As Lucky remembers things about his former life, he realizes that he has a certain technical knowledge, which is of use to him and his ragtag band of friends. But his quest for knowledge demands that he finds more out about himself, to help his friends and to restore a world that is a mere shadow of its former self.
Prepare to be impressed, lovers of literature. Exile of The Prince is dystopian Sci-Fi at its very best. Exile of The Prince is due out on June 6, 2014.
