Sales For A Summer Sock Peak In The Middle Of Winter
Jay's Barely There Socks See Record Sales During Their 48 Hour Discount Promotion
A Brief Video about how no show socks can stop your shoes from smelling
The Sale offered 75% off the retail recommended price for no show socks for women on sale at Amazon.com. A discount code was advertised on Jay's Barely There website and Facebook pages for consumers to use at the checkout on Amazon.com. The offer was well supported to the point there were some concerns current stocks would be not sufficient to meet the demand.
A no show sock is a sock liner that is cut so it can't be seen when you are wearing shoes, even low cut flats or stilettos. It looks as if socks are not being worn at all. These type of socks are associated more with the summer months when people want to go bare legged but still protect their feet and shoes. For this reason it is surprising that such high sales were recorded during January as America recovers from plummeting temperatures and severe snow.
One of the reasons was of course the large discount. A sock can easily be kept in a draw or cupboard until Spring comes around and the weather gets warmer. Another reason is that these socks are becoming increasingly popular year round. Not because people want to go bare legged in the middle of winter but no show socks are also being used as a liner between shoe and pantyhose to help shoes fit better, prevent slipping and provide a little extra bit of insulation and protection without being seen from outside the shoe.
Jays Barely There Socks are still available at Amazon.com and although stocks are low these will be replenished very soon. Current stock levels should not affect availability.
