Desktop Pop Filter Launches On Amazon
New Filter Meets The Needs Of A New Niche Recording Artist
Stock of the new filter arrived at Amazon's Chattanooga TN warehouse in the first week of January, and was ready for sale just a couple of days later.
The clamp-to-your-desktop pop filter came about as a result of several customer enquiries and comments. It became clear to Lee Nolan, head of marketing, that there was a significant gap in the market just asking to be filled.
"What we noticed was that we were getting great reviews for the standard pop filter. But we were also getting questions and comments about how to attach the filter to a USB microphone such as the Yeti Pro"
Nolan continued, "All the pop filters in the market were designed to be clamped to a microphone stand or boom. But times have changed and it's not just music recording artists creating audio any more. With the advent of cheap recording software, much of it built in to computers these days, anybody can hit record."
While it is easy to record, recording quality sound is a different matter entirely. Computer users soon work out that the internal microphone is not up to scratch, so they seek out a USB Desktop Microphone. A microphone like the Blue Yeti, Blue Snowball, or Samson Meteor. But they may still struggle to get a good sound.
Nolan explains why. "What a lot of people new to recording do not realize is that certain sounds cause a thump or boom when they hit the microphone. These sounds are known as plosives, and create a rather annoying thumping or thudding sound known in the industry as popping."
"A pop filter solves this problem, but the fact that these pop filters are designed to attach to microphone stands doesn't make much sense for people using a desktop USB microphone. This is why we created this new pop filter"
After months of design work and prototyping, the new Auphonix Desktop Pop Filter was created. It simply attaches to the desktop with a clamp, and then the pop filter head is positioned in front of the microphone. Plosive problems are eliminated immediately.
And now, the Desktop Pop Filter is finally available on Amazon.
To celebrate the launch, for the month of January customers can get $10 off the price of the filter by using the coupon code PR1POP10 at checkout.
