Food Catching Bibs Proving Stressful For Dogs And Cats
Baby Bibs That Catch Food Putting Smiles On The Faces Of Parents
Capstaff Inc's recently launched Silicone Pocket Bibs have proven a hit with parents but the news for household pets is not as promising. The revolutionary new bibs were launched onto the market to solve a pressing issue for many parents and seems to be achieving its aim.
"One of the main features of the catch all bibs was the dual strap system which from feedback we've received, stops kids from actually removing the bibs which is a common problem at feeding time", said Capstaff Inc spokesperson J D Dean. "But it seems their ability to catch food that children drop seems to have unintended consequences", he added with a wry smile.
And it seems the consequences are just what parents are looking for.
Dropped food falls into the open pouch on the bib and that's exactly what they are designed to do. But for pets, this is not good news according to Mr. Dean.
"Well, Fido the dog or Fluffy the cat are usually waiting below knowing that dropped food is coming their way but our food catcher bibs work so well that their errant food supply seems to have been cut off".
Not the end result household pets were looking for but Mr. Dean says "for parents, it's a wish come true".
The open pouch design of the bibs means that most food is caught which in turn, cuts down on messy feed time.
Mr. Dean also added, "Capstaff Inc's pocket bibs stay open unlike many other bibs where the pockets are not rigid enough and often remain closed, defeating the purpose of the bib".
Capstaff Inc's food catching bibs, with revolutionary dual strap design, were introduced onto the market in December, answering a need from parents for more permanent fitting bibs that catch food which resisted attempts from children to pull them off at will.
