State of Louisiana Reimburses Training Costs For Businesses With 50 or Less Employees

This special program is available for any small business who wants to train its employees at little to no out-of-pocket costs. The tuition reimbursement program is coordinated by the state's Department of Labor and will allocate $3,000 per employee.
Highlights of the SBET program are:
Designed to benefit Louisiana employers by assisting in the skill development of existing employees and providing funding for training.
Provides $3000 per employee, per fiscal year for a wide range of standardized workforce training.
Funded by Unemployment Tax contributions at $1.2 million annually.
Eligibility: limited to businesses with 50 or fewer employees. A business must have operated in Louisiana and contributed to the state's Unemployment Insurance System for a minimum of 3 years.
