Why Seventh Day Adventist Believe Cage Free Eggs are the Best Eggs
Happy chickens produce higher quality eggs so why support the chicken factories that treat the chickens like property instead of live animals?
Many eggs purchased from the grocery store come from the egg factories where the chickens are cramped in small cages, barely larger than their bodies! They are never allowed to run free and even if they were, their feet and legs are often deformed from a life in a cramped cage. These chickens are not treated like living beings at all. They are simply machines that lay eggs. They only part of them that is ever free is their head that pokes out for food and water.
Happy cage free chickens lay stress-free eggs! Stress effects the health of the body; therefore, effecting the quality of their eggs. Free range chickens run free and go into a nice, clean private place to lay their eggs.
Factory chickens are injected with hormones and antibiotics to prevent disease caused by the environment they live in. They are forced to lay their eggs where they poop which is pretty gross! This is not the way jesus intended his beloved creatures to live and the Seventh Day Adventist Christians do not support egg factories that treat the chickens this way!
Many farmers in the White Lake area sell cage free eggs. The least expensive and most convenient source of these healthy eggs from happy chickens that I have found is from a lady who runs a local beauty shop. She also raises chickens because she loves them, not to make a huge profit. She sells them cheap to replenish her supply of chicken feed and maintain their area.
Today, the cost of fresh cage free eggs from Sue’s happy chickens is only $2.50 per dozen, compared to 3.50 – 5.00 from other local sources. She will be able to keep her prices down if you save your egg cartons for her.
Sue’s beauty shop, Hair Ends Family Salon, is located at 6894 Cooley Lake Rd in Waterford, MI 48327, just West of Hospital Road. Stop in for a haircut, featuring today’s styles at yesterday’s prices and pick up some fresh eggs from happy chickens!
Of course, Sue welcomes everyone and no haircut is necessary to purchase fresh, high-quality eggs for only $2.50 per dozen. Visit http://www.jesusiscomingsoon.net/ and click the side bar picture link entitled Fresh Eggs versus Factory Eggs to learn more.
