A road rage incident involving a husband and wife has left an uninvolved bystander dead.
The truck accident on FM 1942 happened just before 11a.m. on Sunday and was witnessed by at least person. The eyewitness ran to scene of the accident and cut the toddler who was not moving out of the backseat of the silver sedan.
9-1-1 was called and the eyewitness gave the baby mouth-to-mouth. As soon as paramedics arrived the child was handed over to them. The mother never made it out of the car and it is believed that there may have been bullets in the vehicle which started going off when medical crews were present.
The child was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and listed under critical condition. Charges against the driver who caused the accident are still pending until toxicology reports are completed.
This road rage incident is just one of many that occur each year. According to the Texas Department of Transportation more than 230 crashes in 2012 were caused by road rage, 4 of which were fatal.
