Top 10 Things To Have For RV Enthusiasts
The must-have that make life on the road a lot easier
The best organizer for your bucks!
Kindle / E-Reader:
If one likes to read, this is great to have. Why? Because when it comes to weight and mass, books are not great for storing in a RV. Space is precious, often times there is hardly enough time storing clothes and food, let alone books. That handy gadget is compact, it stores hundreds of books, weighs nothing, and gives access to all the reading material that one can think of.
Shower space in most RVs is tiny. If one has a curtain instead of a glass door in the shower, a curtain extender definitely gives more room. It's got two joints in the pole that allow it to swing out and give considerable more arm room while showering. And when one is out of the shower one can swing it inward to give more room in the rest of the bathroom.
One can put clothes or blankets in these bags and use a vacuum or pump to suck out all the air and compress the contents. Comes in super handy for storing stuff that are not used often.
Another handy thing for RV living is the multi-purpose organizer by Coolkarstuff. When not in used, it's folded to a cube and if one needs to buy grocery, take it with you and use it instead of grocery bag. It can also be used to store one's cloths when going to the laundry mat or stuff it up with picnic items when heading to the park. It's super versatile and multi-purpose.
Yes, a lot campgrounds have internet, but it can be tricky and unpredictable if it's going to be available or not. If one relies on the internet for conducting ones' business, smartphones are the solution. Get "tethering" plans that allow to use the 3G or 4G internet from one's phones on the computers. It's not lightning fast or anything close to that, but it enables one to check email and do one's job while living in your RV.
A simple item and often overlooked, but when one lives in a tin box with someone else for an extended period of time, headphones can be invaluable. If one wants to work, listen to music, or watch a movie without disturbing the other, a good set of headphones can be vital in getting some alone time or keeping the peace.
Clear Elbow for Sewer:
Sewer, not the most pleasant subject, but an essential part of RV life. Without the clear elbow for draining the tanks, the stuff moving through that hose would be a mystery… actually it probably would have been better if it stayed a mystery…. But the elbow gives a clear picture of what's going on and when it's "really" done draining, which is important. Plus, the elbow has a hose hook up so that one can back wash the tank, that way one can see when it's really cleared out.
Those chairs are super handy to have and don't take up a lot of space. The folding camping chair has this interesting sense of community to it. When meeting new people or neighbors at a campground, when someone offers to bring out an extra folding chair for you to sit in, there's a good chance one might have just made a new friend
There are compact handy LED flashlights that are really bright and don't take up much space. Those small ones come in very handy as one can hold one in the mouth when both hands are needed to change a tire or open a fuse box on a dark night.
Stick Lighter and match sticks:
Super useful to light a campfire or grill. No further explanation necessary.
