While 44% of online shoppers begin by using search engines, 60% of clicks go to the top three organic search results. 70% of these links search users click on are also organic, not paid. The infographic also states that 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results. An additional 80% of search engine users say they never click on sponsored search results. While 42% of all searchers click on the top-ranked result, only 23% ever click on a sponsored link. 50% of all consumers are more likely to click on search result if the brand appears multiple times on the results page.
While there are several tools within the SEO realm, blogging continues to soar in global popularity. In fact, companies that blog receive twice as many inbound links than those that do not.
