The plaintiff in the case alleges that she had to wait in line for five to 10 minutes before taking her meal breaks and 10 or more minutes before leaving work. She claims that she is owed $1500 in unpaid overtime over the course of a year. A New York resident and fellow Apple employee also claims that he is owed at least $1400 in unpaid overtime per year. The suit claims that the allegedly unpaid security checks violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), as well as California and New York Labor Law.
